Certifications & Accreditations
SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality)
Decoma Services achieved the ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation in September 2002 and the ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditations in July 2005. The last re-certification audit was conducted in June 2023. Decoma Services was found to be compliant to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
Surveillance audits are conducted annually by SABS and re-certification audits are conducted triennially.
Safety, Health and Environmental
Our work is performed in accordance with the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Inspite of having worked long hours under very trying conditions Decoma Services has maintained an impeccable safety record in the last three years with no disabling man-hours being recorded.
We also comply with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System. This also ensures that the interests of our clients are protected. To date, Decoma Services have not been served with any contravention notices and have not been fined.
Continuous assessments, induction and training of our employees ensure consistency with the requirements of our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality) Integrated Management System. Risk assessments are job and site specific and reviewed on an ongoing basis to include any changes in site conditions. Our SHEQ Department works closely with our clients to ensure compliance with their specific requirements.
Regular induction and training ensures that our employees are aware of our clients’ health and hygiene policies and also of the various aspects of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) of the industries we work in.
BBBEE Status
Decoma Services was rated as a “Qualified Small Enterprise” (QSE) and qualified as a Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor, Procurement Recognition Level 135,00%.
Accreditations
We are a member of the “Proudly South African” campaign. This is an initiative of the National Economic Development and Labour Council and is supported by organised labour, organised business, government and community organisations. This also ensures that the highest quality standards are met consistently – not to mention supporting the local economy!
Our affiliation with the “Southern Africa Stainless Steel Development Association”, (SASSDA) and our adherence to their ‘Code of \Conduct’ and ethical standards has helped reinforce our clients’ confidence.
Decoma Services is an accredited member of the “South African Supplier Diversity Council”, (SASDC). The goal of the SASDC is to facilitate sustainable business linkages between bona-fide, capable black enterprises and South African Private Sector Corporations, State-owned Enterprises and Universities from its membership base.
We have been affiliated with the “Southern African Institute of Welding”, (SAIW) since 2012 and have been certified to the requirements of ISO 3834 Part 2 in November 2021, ensuring that the highest quality standards are continuously maintained.
